Why go to church? It is full of phonies! (Part 1 of 6)

To say there are hypocrites in church is like saying there are animals in the zoo. Like there are hot dog vendors in New York. Like… well, you get the point. But does the existence of  hypocrites mean that one should completely turn their back upon God?

In this first podcast in this series… we see how mixing partisan politics with religion turns some people off and makes them want to have nothing to do with God. Rather than stumping for your candidate and trash talking the person in office (which people have done against every president — perhaps going back to George Washington) remember what the Apostle Paul said to Pastor Timothy:

FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 [AMP]
