How satan Operates

Posted by: on May 19, 2013 | No Comments

Have you ever noticed that some individuals seem to go out of their way to make others feel bad? Or, they take bits of information and present it in a way to make someone look bad? Incidentally, this is one of the things that God hates (see our teaching on that subject).

Started as a Whisper

John 10:10 tells us that satan comes to steal, kill and destroy.  The way he does this is through lies: lies that others may say or, even more damaging, lies you come to believe as being true.  That is why it is important to know what the Word of God says about you… and not what others may say about you.

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Jeremiah 29:11 [AMP]

For I know the thoughts that I think about you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 [CJB]

Human nature might say to strike back… to do something mean and nasty back to them as revenge. Or, it may say to feel depressed… to do something to hurt yourself. But the Bible tells us that Good Sense dictates that we restrain our anger… that we overlook the offensive things that others do. This opens the door for love to come in.

Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense.

Proverbs 19:11 [AMP]

8 Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others].

9 Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him).

1 Peter 4:8-9 [AMP]
